HoverCam T3
HoverCam T3

The HoverCam is not only the first USB connect, high resolution document scanner, it's also the best. The T3 harnesses the processing power of your computer, so it doesn't need extra extra equipment. This allows for portability and ease-of-use at an affordable price. The camera uses a 3 megapixel sensor to create crystal clear images that usually require larger scanners at larger prices. A focus ring makes sure that the camera is in focus, even when there is movement beneath its lens. LiveZoom lets the user zoom in and out in real-time by just moving the mouse wheel. Also, you may not have noticed, but there is hidden text on the back of a five dollar bill. The 16X magnification on LiveZoom and the 3X mechanical zoom will let you see it!

The built-in microphone allows users to record audio presentations set to images, documents or videos. All recordings have the ability to be uploaded to: Evernote, DropBox, YouTube, Facebook and Picasa. Portability is made easy, and the T3 is made with a telescoping body that folds up at a moment's notice. You can store it in a drawer, cabinet or most carry bags. The Kensington-style lock protects the lightweight scanner from theft. The T3 comes with the powerful HoverCam Flex Software, which has been designed to make managing the camera as seamless as possible. The Flex Software makes the HoverCam more than just a camera by allowing you to scan, record voice and video, remote conference, manage files and much more. Our Price: $595.00

The PEARL brings blind and low vision users instant portable access to printed material with an array of human-sounding voices. The folding camera deploys in seconds to connect to your PC and snap a picture of your reading material. With so many features for those with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other causes of low vision, you can tailor the appearance of text on your screen (font style, size, character spacing, and color), view with split-screen and compare your original document and OCR conversion results, use Masking and Word Spotlighting to help you follow text as it is read, and more.

In automatic mode, the PEARL senses motion, so it knows to snap an image whenever you turn a page. Place your paperback novel sideways, and the PEARL will snap two pages at a time and maintain the pagination. For larger books, you can capture even pages first. Flip the book over to capture the odd pages. You can keep turning pages and capturing images while OpenBook reads. Once your page has been captured, you have multiple options for viewing the information.
